This month marks Poptropica’s 10th anniversary.  That’s right. 10. Flippin’. Years. Honestly, most games are lucky to reach one year of continued updates.  But we, Poptropica have decided to continue for 10 years.  1 decade.  10 years Poptropica flashed these little characters with large eyes ready for you to take them on a journey.  Through rough times, Pop’s loyalist fans have gone through seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.  Let’s continue that and stay with it.  although many people have to leave, for those who will stay, let’s continue this game for generations to come.  Although in Worlds we don’t have much yet, I know it’ll get better.  Heck, Pop only started with one island but that was enough for people to come back and it’s gotten us to 50+ islands, several fan blogs, a new adapted game, and thousands of fans.

Well, I hope you enjoyed that paragraph, but in this post I’m going to release things that have gone into the “unpublished works”  section I have created.

First was an interview with LW that was never posted (sorry LW)! (Also sorry it sounds so lame (on my part)  I considered myself to be a serious reporter and interviewer and now I see how lame it was)

SF: Hi LW, can you tell us when you joined the community, and how you found it?

LW: Hey Smart! Well, let’s see. I joined roughly about the beginning of 2016, which, i know, doesn’t seem to long ago, but that’s when i joined. But i only started blogging in October. Oh! And I found it through the marvelous thing called (wait for it) Google.

SF: Who (If there were) any inspirations or role models for your blog/ YouTube channel?

LW: Dude, there were so many. BT inspired me to make my Youtube, that’s for sure. And for my blog, TC’s blog and the PBH were what I wanted mine to be like. Is it? Good heaven’s no, but I tried.

SF: I think you’ve done a wonderful job. What are some of your expectations or worries for New Pop? (welp, it’s here.  let’s see if her hopes came true)

LW: Aw, thanks! Let’s see… I’m hoping for boots and the option of staying barefoot TBH. :stuck_out_tongue: And my main worry isn’t that it’ll suck, it’s that other people might leave the community or blogging. I. Do not. Want. That. (Not really, no barefoot and PS Paul left 😦 )

SF: Neither do I, as I love the community. Is there any hopes you have for the community after New Pop’s release?

LW: NO ONE LEAVES ME. And we gain more fun members!

SF: What is you favorite Pop villain?

LW: Dr Hare. Though don’t tell him that, he’ll get a big head.

SF: What’s your favorite island?

LW: Mystery Train, i think….

SF: FRENCHIE! Any islands you’d like to see remastered for New Pop?

LW: No. Blunt honesty FTW! To be perfectly honest, I like the islands they way they are RN. This may be subject to change.

SF: What is your favorite feature that has been announced for New Pop?

LW: ._. Eye color. Is that even a thing? IDK anymore.

SF: Lol. Now for some Non-Pop questions, favorite book(s)?

LW: Yus. Uh, Harry Potter is always great, as is Percy Jackson… I got seriously into the Pegasus series when it broke all my feels, as well as the Frog Princess series got me fangirling like crazy. Good judging technique on this end? Nope.

SF: What are your favorite hobbies?

LW: Writing. Drawing. Acting. Singing, but I’m not good at that. XP

SF: What is your dream vacation?

LW: ._. England. Why? Just cause. Oh, and it’d be cool to meet PC! YOLO!

SF: This is ultimately the most important question, Heads or Tails?

LW: Wings! I don’t play nice….

SF: Finally, before we wrap up, anything else you’d like to say to the people reading this post?

LW: Yeah, One thing. THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME PEEPS!! Yeah, that’s it.

Geez, all of my responses were so planned out and thought out and I meant to make it seem like I was a dignified.  Basically, I didn’t know what “internet” was.

Next I will post Endangered, the final chapter here!  When I wrote the final chapter I didn’t really think it lived up to the rest of the series, but I thought after serious consideration I should put it here.
The floor whined at the weight Myron put on it as he pivoted toward Sporty Boa, preparing to fire.  One of Myron’s dogs ran out in front of Myron barking at him to stop the attack.  The dog leaped around, gaining Sporty more time to inch his arm out of the giraffe.  Sporty’s hand passed through the giraffe and he stood up.  Myron loaded his shotgun and prepared to shoot the dog.  Sporty ran to save the dog.  Myron fired the arrow with a click as sirens rang into the night.  The arrow pierce through Sporty’s side, causing him to fall.  Sporty heard a door bust open somewhere from the back.  Myron, panicking knew of only one option.  He dumped his gasoline tank into the house, and lit a match.  His devilish eyes, stained red by the blood of his victims stared into Sporty’s soul.  “The dog’s’ll be having snake for dinner, Sporty Boa.”  He dropped the match and Sporty watch flames engulf the house.  The colors danced around as the second dog ran to Sporty to protect him in case Myron came back.  Myron escaped the blaze, into dark. Winston watched the flames engulf his very body, knowing he too weak to escape.  Sporty saw the flames become foggier as his vision drained from him, due to the heat and blood loss, each rapidly increasing. He heard indistinct voices.  He thought they might be officers or some thoughts passed in his mind they were animals.  But then, everything went black, like he was sleeping.  The heat went away, the dogs whines for help faded into nothing, the indistinct shouts gone, the pain of the arrow taken away.
Sporty Boa awoke in a hospital bed, on blood supply.  Doctors rushed around not noticing him awake.  A nurse saw him awake and took a sigh of relief.  Two dogs, small now, but ready to grow large soon hopped onto him.  Sporty knew them instantly as Myron’s dogs. They began licking his face.  “They saved your life, you know.”  The nurse replied.  her voice was calm and soft, without harsh tones and quick slurs that clouded Myron’s voice.  “They did?”  His voice was weak, he felt as though he was learning to talk for the first time.  “Yes.  They dragged you out from the fire.  Without them, the officers might have never gotten to you in time.”  Sporty smiled at the dogs, happy to see their tails wagging.  He watched them for five minutes, thankful for his life, and them.  He then spoke up, “Could I keep them?”  The nurse smiled in his direction.  “I guess they have no owner, I can’t see why not.”  He smiled at them. Myron might still be out there, but he still enjoyed the safety and comfort of the hospital.  All seemed well.
Thank you guys so for reading this really long post!  This is my longest ever, 1,250 words exactly!  So cool.  I hope you enjoyed this post, and all of the forgotten or scrapped posts it had to offer.  It was fun to see what was in my archives!  Bye! ~Smart Flame

New Series!

Hey guys it’s me Smart Flame!  You might be like Oh yeah it’s the blogger who never blogs and you’re correct! I haven’t got Endangered out, and so much freaking stuff is happening. I’m an official middle schooler, and some other stuff, but you can see it in off the pop blog (in lw terms) to see it all.  I’ve been really busy with homework and stuff, but I’ll be posting more I promise!

SO I’m actually going to blog about what the title is.  My new series is going to discuss different original Poptropica islands and see how they affected Poptropica for the better or worse.  This week we will start it off with Reality TV Island! Now you may be like Wow, so lame, he’s not even starting with the original island don’t worry I plan to make a two post mini-series on that!

Reality TV island is viewed pretty well among others.  But for me, I think it really opened up some new doors for Poptropica. First it really brought a new type of island into the game, which was focused on mini-games.  This island also provided the most realistic event compared to other islands we saw at the time.  This could have appealed to older kids.  It also had many characters and a new feel to it overall.  I think this really had shown the creators they were able to put out something different and have it work.

That’s all for today’s post, Bye! ~Smart Flame

What I think about Poptropica Worlds

Hey Guys, It’s me, Smart Flame!  Today I will share what I think of Pop Worlds, but first I have a few announcements.  My first announcement is Smarter Chat, my off-pop blog has it’s first post made, the second coming tomorrow.     ( https://smarterchat.wordpress.com/ )   Next Endangered Pt. 4 is coming out tomorrow, sorry it took so long, I wanted to make this one great.  The final part is coming out in a week.  Now, I could continue Endangered as I have a plot line that could work, I could make a new Fan Fic, or I could take a break from Fan Fics altogether.  Tell me in the comments below on what I should do, but information on a possible continuation or new fan fic will come with the Endangered posts.  Finally I have been thinking of different series’s and I will be testing a few of them out in the next month to see if any are good.  Now that the announcements are over I will actually write about the title.

So I have been playing Worlds a bit, and there’s something I noticed.  Pop Worlds is newer, and I played the original Pop first so this might be a little bias, but I have found that New Pop just isn’t bringing as much adventure spirit or excitement that I got from old Pop.  One reason which is only because it’s a newer is there are less places to go.  The other thing is, is it is now more centered around home island and you can travel to other places where in Old Pop you were always traveling.  Also everything seems so guided and planned, and I feel like it tells you what to do.   In Old Pop I got the feeling of adventure by figuring it all out by myself.  Now Crisis Caverns might be this way due to it being a possible starter island, but I feel like they should have a specific island for that not really combining it with a regular island.  Home island, (or Worlds),  also gives off this vibe, and although it’s important when you do something the first time, we don’t need it after that.  Another issue many players are discussing is the “pay-to-play” aspect of the game.  I feel like this could easily be avoided if members got separate features not to important the game.  If you add member only products to what everyone has it only makes non-members more separate and  creating much more of a stark difference between.  Whereas if non-members didn’t get exclusive features that didn’t disrupt gameplay but enhance (Such as End of island quests) it’ll not only want people continuing their membership but attract non-members, without the backlash we see.  Now that’s pretty much, but I just want to say that Pop Worlds is a new game, the creators are still developing it and really we just have to wait and see.

Thank you for reading this post I hope you maybe agreed with my points or found a different perspective.  That’s all for today’s and be sure to look out for Endangered coming out tomorrow! Bye! ~Smart Flame

I have no title

Hey guys, it’s me Smart flame!  This post is just me talking to you because I need your help. There’s not much content yet on Pop worlds, and new content isn’t necessarily in sight.  This blog runs on news, reviews, and theories, none of which are really possible without content. So I’ve come to ask you guys what i should blog about.  I could do revisiting old islands and playing through them, writing my thoughts, I could do read between the lines, but have you guys come up with some crazy theory that I’ll try and prove, I could do reviews of old islands, pretty much everything.  But I want to post what you want to see, so tell me in the comments what you want to see.  Sorry this was a short post, but it’s a needed one. Bye! ~Smart Flame

This happened!

Hey guys! It’s me, Smart Flame! And today I have some exciting news!  First off, Lucky Wing has gotten 100 comments on this blog in one month.  I thought I’d share that because it is a feat.  Second, this is our 100th post!  100 hundred times I’ve written post; theory, story, or news.  I remember when I started it all, on Thanksgiving break.  And not only has my blogging skill improved tremendously, the blog has also grown.  I can tell you we reached 30 followers! Although it happened, a little while ago, i wanted to wait for the 100th post.  I just can’t believe 100 hundred times I’ve written “Hey guys! It’s me, Smart Flame!”.  So in honor of this great milestone, I will be finally writing out the history page on the navigation.  Thank you all for bearing through my cringy theories and graphics where now you can come here and at least get something better then what it was before.  Smart, you’re graphics still suck I know, but I’m ….. trying.  Also, the first person to find these two cringy posts and comment saying, “I found it”  Will get their poptropican drawn Smart style, with all the cringe (Worlds or original).  The posts are do the miranda, and reality tv island guide.  If you did one, don’t do the other, and be sure to refresh the page once you get there to be sure you haven’t been beat.

On other news, I’m opening up a new blog like many other bloggers.  The main reason is while writing these posts I often feel the urge to rant or talk about something off-topic, and I’ll just do it there.  The first post isn’t up yet mainly because the editing process is still going on, so I’ll release on my blog today, I’ll do it on discord once the first post is out. https://smarterchat.wordpress.com/

That’s all for today, I hope you enjoyed this post, bye! ~Smart Flame

Endangered Part 3

Hey guys! It’s me, Smart Flame! Today I am here with the third installment of Endangered!  Without further ado, here it is!

Sporty Boa awoke on a couch, in what seemed like a massive log cabin.  And old man, seeming to be frozen at first, with spectacles lying on the tip of his nose, walked over to Sporty Boa, and stood him up.  What Sporty hadn’t realized yet was he was tied up. Winston begin to drag Sporty into a room.  Sporty Boa, still drowsy tried to push away with the little strength he had. “Where am I, you freak?  Let me go”  Winston’s old frail body wasn’t strong enough to pull Sporty Boa, yet Sporty’s drowsy and nearly asleep body couldn’t pull away.  Then Myron steps into view, a loaded cross bow in hand and shoots at Sporty.  The arrow hits his binding, sending him flying to the wall, pinning him to it.  The crash on the wall forced a stuffed bear crashing out of a room. “You kill animals?  Why am I here? Let me go?  I demand answers!”  “You fell asleep and almost fell off a cliff.”  “And why am I binded up.”  “It’s the ropes I used to save you with.  But hunting animals is wrong?  Child, you haven’t been on a hunting expedition with me.  Now if you don’t mind, I want some target practice.”  He fires another arrow at Sporty’s head, Sporty ducking just in time, the arrow activates a hidden switch to a room leading upstairs.  Sporty enters, breaking free from his binding and climbs up.  Myron and Winston quickly head upstairs, when Sporty secretly drops down and heads into the collection room.  Sporty runs in to the room, trips on a giraffe and it falls on his arm, before first activating Myron’s catch phrase.  Sporty hears the pair run downstairs.  Sporty sees the long greasy mustache protruding from the door.  Sporty tries to break free from the giraffe, but won’t move.  Sporty’s heart rate quickens, as he plans an escape, while the other two plan an attack.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter.  I know it’s different from the island, but that was purposeful.  That’s all for today. Bye! ~Smart Flame

This is just a quick post. I’m just here to say sorry for not getting posts out recently, but I’ve been busy working on the surprise coming tomorrow.  Regular posting will continue from now on.  Also be sure to check out Endangered Part 3 which will be released tonight.  Bye! ~Smart Flame
